1991 to present     Analyst Programmer/Webmaster
Blanewood Andrews Computing, Milton Keynes.
Skills: Delphi 5, VB6, XHTML, DHTML, Mega, SQL, CSS, JavaScript.

Member of the software development team producing packages for
the manufacturing and commercial sector. Using Delphi, Visual Basic and Mega (a powerful C derived 4GL language), running under Unix, Linux and Windows XP/NTon various platforms, my responsibilities include the specification, writing and testing of programs, plus ongoing maintenance and support.

I have been involved in various projects for major blue chip companies,including a bespoke distribution management system for EMI and a wholesale distribution system for Key Lekkerland. A flexible approach and working to tight time-scales with a large degree of responsibility are attributes that are required in this role.

I have designed, developed and now maintain the companies website
using DHTML, XHTML, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript.
Plus I have also recently used OPL, a programming language designed for Psion Hand Held terminals.


1988 to 1991

Computer Investments Limited, Wolverton, Bucks.
RM COBOL
Programmer working on a Convergent UNIX system.
Responsibilities included the writing and compiling of new
programs and the maintenance of existing programs for the MICAbuild accounts system. A package specifically designed for the construction industry, its modules include payroll and various ledgers. Other responsibilities included documentation of new releases and assistance with support.

1986
to 1988   Junior Programmer
Argos Distributors, Milton Keynes.
This involved the writing, compiling, testing and maintenance of programs in BASIC Plus2 on DEC PDP 11’s, which were, destined for use as stock control procedures at the Argos distribution centres.
